I just want to say a special *THANK YOU* to everyone that has helped out either financially, prayerfully, or buying things for me to bring the kids in Malawi. Every little bit helps and is not forgotten. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
I asked a friend who just came back from Africa to write a list of things she would recommend I buy before I go to Malawi. Oh my. $$$$$. Yet everything is sooo good to have. For example, a water purifier for my water bottle...a head lamp for when/if power goes out (I like to read, so this is a GREAT thing! hahaha!), a travel towel that is light weight, drys things quick and washes easily, I even got these things that look like big mentos, but if you soak them they open up to be a face wash. Neat eh?
I am getting sooo excited about leaving. It totally helped that last week snowed here in Ottawa, that made me that much more excited to go somewhere warm!
I work with two kids each week...both very awesome kids! I was looking through pictures yesterday to bring and had a picture of each of them, this brought me to tears. It made me really see how much I'm going to miss people, how people may change a lot, how a new life can be brought into this world and I wont even be in the same city. There will be a lot of things I miss...but there is going to be a lot of things that I'll be doing that is going to completely overshadow what I miss--- atleast thats what I keep telling myself :)
Everyone has told me I'm going to come back soo changed and a entirely different person. Funny thing is...it's already happening. Everytime I hear things about kids hurting, I cry, everytime I see something that would be good for kids in Malawi I buy it (this is coming from a girl who goes to school full-time so I don't have A LOT of money!)...I'm in such a giving mood. I just want to go and get dirty and do whatever I can to help.
SO SOON GUYS! ah! I just want to go now!
Important dates: April 20th-- International doctor's appointment (yuck! I hate hate hate going to the doctor's. I NEVER go. This is a day I do not enjoy)
April 22nd-- DONE program at Algonquin! (Yes! This is a very important date!)
May 12--Leave Ottawa. MALAWI HERE I COME!
June 20th-- this is for Steph and Kor ;) IT'S THERE WEDDING!
July 30th--bye Malawi :(

We are so proud of you and will be thinking about you on that day! and every day when you are away! we will put a picture of you up on our fridge...so we remember to pray for you daily.
