Patience...

Well folks, it's March. Spring is coming! That however scares me! The sooner spring is here, the sooner I leave. A couple of weeks ago I texted/emailed some very close friends and told them "I am not going!" I was so very adamant about not going. I was letting fear take hold of me. Fear was guiding me. Since then, I am still quite nervous and scared but I know if I don't go I will regret it. I know the people in Malawi, specifically with The Children of Blessing Trust can use help. So I'm going. yahooooo!

I just received an email from Kathy yesterday just updating me on everything. The children of Blessing center (where I will be volunteering) just had a break in. The police however arrested two people and retrieved most of the stuff back. -- Keep these people in your thoughts and prayers! Although with the break in, Kathy (the head of the center ) sounded so positive. This is so encouraging to be in an atmosphere when something so awful can occur yet people are still so joyful and happy.

So now...I am waiting. Waiting for all my funds to come in, waiting for may...waiting for school to end...waiting...and trying to do so with patience.

Many people have asked how they can help. Firstly, if anyone would like to contribute financially, that would so very helpful. Just email me and I can tell you how to go about that. Right now, flight prices are very very high.

Another way to help is...FLIP FLOPS, SANDALS, SHOES! I know, flip flops!? Last time I was in Malawi the amount of people I saw who did not even have flip flops was outstanding. I seriously stood there in shock. I look at my shoe shelf (I have my OWN shoe shelf, now Ladies, count how many pairs of shoes you have!? I am not alone here!) and I have soooo many boots/flats/heels/flip flops and people over there, in Malawi (and other countries) have none. If you want to help out that way-- perfect! If you have gentle used/new books, clothes, ect.
